1-30-2013 Memo

Hot Lunch: Marisa Krosschell & Amy Regnerus will serve hot lunch on Wed., Feb. 6.  The menu includes creamed chicken buns,  hash brown potatoes, peaches, finger jello, oreo salad, Doritos & chips, dirt cups & sand cups.

Milk Orders: The milk order bills were sent home last week.  Please send payment by the end of the week.

Bulletin Board: If anyone would be willing to take care of the hallway bulletin board for the month of March, please let Cheryl know soon.

Board Meeting: The School Board will meet on Tuesday, February 5.

Reminder: Please remember to turn in your Box Tops, Milk Caps and Campbell’s labels by February 16.  There are boxes in the kitchen at school, or you may put them in the ladies’ mailboxes at church.

Kringles: The Ladies School Circle Kringle fundraiser is now in progress.  Kringle forms are available at school, and look for one in your church mailbox.  Orders need to be in by Mon., Feb. 11.  Pick up day is Thurs., Feb. 21.  Contact Amy or Jody with any questions.

School security: Parents, if your children use the ice rink after school hours or on the weekend, we ask that you please check not only the front entry doors are locked, but also the door off the ball room.  Over this past weekend we had neighborhood kids going into school and taking out sports equipment to play with it.  There have been other times in the evening when I have come back to school and found the ball room door unlocked.

Gallon Milk Jugs: We are looking forward to doing an all school project in a couple of months that will require hundreds of gallon milk jugs and caps.  (If you collect the milk caps, we will be sure to turn those in after the project.)  In order to complete this project we need your help in collecting as many gallon milk jugs as we can.  Please rinse out your milk jugs and do not compact them.  If you are able to store them all until we need them, that would be appreciated and we will let you know when to bring them to school.  If you do not have the space for them, please contact Mike Vander Veen about where to bring them.  Thanks for your efforts.

Student Clubs – If there are any parents, grandparents, or other individuals interested in volunteering to be part of a chess club or First Lego League club in the evenings at school, please contact Mike Vander Veen.  Video on the Lego League can be found with a search on YouTube for FLL Animation 2011.

Conferences: Parent-Teacher Conferences will be Tuesday, Feb. 12.  The schedule is included.  If you have any problem with your scheduled time, contact Mike VanderVeen.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Josiah Alderden today!
