New Teaching Position

The reason for our current advertisement for a teacher isn’t because we are losing a teacher; rather, we are restructuring our grade set-up. Which change requires that we hire another full-time teacher.  Our current grade set-up is K, 1-2, 3-5, 6-8.  To help alleviate some of the workload on our teachers in this set-up, the Board currently hires aides who teach for a time each day or for a longer period of time a couple of days.  By restructuring our grade set-up, the Education Committee feels we will no longer need aides in the classrooms, and our teaches will be able to spend more time teaching each class, thus improving the education of our children.  Our new grade structure moving forward will be K, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 for 2016-2017.

We have advertised grades 3-8 because there is some flexibility by our staff to move around if necessary depending on the grades the applicant is best fit for. Ideally we are looking for someone to teach 5th-6th. Our class sizes for next year will be 12 students in 1st-2nd, 12 in 3rd-4th, 10 in 5th-6th, and 9 students in 7th-8th.

Whether you are a seasoned teacher or will be graduating this coming spring, the Board of Faith Christian School encourages current and prospective teachers to prayerfully consider our opening for the 2016-2017 school year.
